Black Garlic pesto

Take your pesto pasta to the next level by adding black garlic cloves.

You will need:


  • 10 Fifth Flavour black garlic cloves (approx. 20 g), chopped

  • 50 g fresh basil, finely chopped

  • 30 g fresh mint leaves, finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • 40 g pine nuts, toasted in a pan over low heat until golden brown

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 20 g Parmesan cheese, grated

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 dl olive oil



Instructions:

  1. Place the chopped basil, mint, salt, pepper, garlic, and lemon juice in a mortar and grind into a coarse paste.

  2. Add the pine nuts and crush them lightly, leaving some texture.

  3. Gently mix in the olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and Black Garlic.

  4. Serve with pasta and top with fresh rocket (arugula).

  5. For extra flavour, you can add mushrooms or king prawns according to your preference.

  6. Enjoy!
